When it comes time to make arrangements, here are some steps to be aware of ahead of time so that we can help you:

Passing away in an institution - When death occurs at a hospital or at nursing home, the medical staff will take care of all legal steps. All you need to do is make sure they know they are to contact Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home for the handling of the funeral arrangements. This way, they will have you sign all necessary release paperwork.

Passing away at home – More people are opting for this today when facing terminal illness due to the extensive availability of hospice care. For this situation, just notify hospice that arrangements will be made through us.  They will take care of all necessary legal steps.  Sometimes, families elect to make pre-arrangements with us so as not to be overwhelmed when the time comes.

Unanticipated deaths - In this situation, have someone immediately call 911.  The police and emergency medical personnel will determine all of the appropriate steps to take.  Often, the police are able to release the remains directly to our funeral home.  However, there are some cases where the body must be taken to a Medical Examiner first in order to determine the exact cause of death.
